Privacy
Written in plain words, because your family's details matter.
What we collect
Your account: your name and email address, from Google sign-in or the email you sign up with. Sign-in is handled by Clerk; we never see or store a Google password.
People you save: their name, how they relate to you, birth date, birth time and birth town or city. We never ask for street addresses or GPS location.
Your conversations, so you can come back to them, and the town you choose for your daily calendar.
Short notes the astrologer keeps about what you tell it (for example, that you are starting a business), so later answers fit your life. You can see, switch off or delete every one of them under 'What I remember'.
Basic usage records: when you sign in, when you were last active and how many messages you sent each day. We use them to apply the daily limit and to see how the service is used. We do not use advertising trackers.
How we use it
To calculate charts, dashas, transits and daily calendars, and to answer your questions about them.
To write a reply, we send your message and relevant calculated chart facts to an external AI model provider under its terms for developers. We keep the provider and model details private. We use instructions tailored to your question and chart. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Incognito chats
An incognito chat does not use anything we remember about you and saves nothing new to memory. It is not listed with your other chats and is deleted after 24 hours.
In ChatGPT
Used without signing in, the MyAstroChat app in ChatGPT does not store the birth details it receives, does not create an account, and does not read your ChatGPT history. ChatGPT's own use of your messages is covered by OpenAI's privacy policy.
Signing in from ChatGPT is optional. If you choose to, you sign in on our sign-in page (run by Clerk), not in ChatGPT, and you approve the link there. ChatGPT then holds an access key that works only for MyAstroChat; it never sees your password. From that key we learn which MyAstroChat account is yours (your account id and the email address Clerk has verified), and a new account is made only if you do not have one. We still do not read your ChatGPT history. Readings you ask for in ChatGPT then count toward your account's daily allowance, the same one as your messages on this website, and are recorded only as daily counts; they are not added to your saved people or conversations.
To unlink, disconnect MyAstroChat in ChatGPT's settings (Apps). Deleting your account, as described below, also ends the link.
For a deep reading or a portrait, we send your question (if any) and calculated chart facts to the same external AI model provider. Instructions tailored to your chart guide the answer. We keep only daily counts to apply the free limits: one by ChatGPT's anonymous user id, and one by a one-way code made from the birth date, time and place (it cannot be turned back into them).
The 'Open my chart' link carries your birth details in encrypted form, so your chart can open on our website. Nothing is stored for the link; your details are saved only if you sign in. The link stops working after a week.
Your control
You can delete any saved person, conversation or memory at any time from the app. Deleting removes it from our records.
To delete your whole account, write to support@myastrochat.com from the address on your account and we will remove everything within 30 days.
Keeping it safe
Data travels over encrypted connections and is stored with Cloudflare. Each account can only see its own people, conversations and memories.
